Default spark plug boot/wire touching header

Just finished my header install and the 2nd and 3rd plug boot on the drivers side are touching the header It hasn't melted them yet but the wires are getting a lot hotter than the others. Is there a different style wire set I should be using or some type of wrap or sleeves?

are you using stock wires?? if so then get some msd's since they have a bend in the boot that hold so it will stay away from the header

When I ran MSD wires, i HAD to use a boot protector, it would have melted. I went back to stockers and ran sleeves anyways.

try rotating the boot several times till it clears out. i dont think you will need different wires.

I cooked a LS2 OE plug wire with Jet-Hot headers,
ended up with an insulation breach. The silicone is
only going to stand up for so long.
