600 for 4-5 rwhp, thats not the only thing bro. You are missing the option you get at the track to cool between runs much faster. Turn off engine, leave key fwd to circulate coolant and pop hood for even better and faster cooling. While others are waiting to cool you are making passes. Better gas mileage, quicker reving due to less load. But to each there own.

I had a car on my lt1, and it was worth every penny (albeit, only $170 bucks)
The ability to cool down quicker/cooler between rounds I well worth it. Just thr extra cool down was worth .1 and 1mph on my car.

I don't track mine, so the money would be better spent in other area's. As for those of you that track a lot, I can see why you would want to run one....as would I if I took her to the track. I ran a EWP on my LT1 Z28 simply because it only ran me a couple hundred bucks and it free'd up HP. Had good luck with it the two years I ran it.

FWIW, maybe an EWP isn't the best way to spend your cash but I don't regret getting one for a minute.

Yea, I'm not opposed to getting one. I actually really like the way they look and how they sometimes free up parastic loses in the drive system. But spending $5-600 and knowing that there is a chance, no matter how big or small it be, that it could fail within the first couple thousand miles is not really comforting when that same money could have been spent on a Griffin radiator etc for the same results and not be chancing it.
