I really wish that (Intake rant)

It amazes me how many people complain about the weight that an aluminum intake adds to a street car, as if the extra 15 pounds will make it take longer to stop or cost some grip in the corners In an all out race car weight matters, but on the street, come on.

While I agree 15 lbs is not a big deal on the street on a street car, the idea is to go faster and perform better. Adding weight is the opposite of that. And the absolute worst place to add it is the nose of the car.

I have an LS6 intake and it came with EGR. I wish it didn't have it. What LS6 intakes didn't come with it?

I couldn't find it on SLP's Website, but I did find it for sale at the WS6Store. Here is a link...

I wouldn't want to pay what they're asking for it just to retain the EGR.
You could probably find a used LS6 Intake, A Block Off Plate for the passenger side Header/Manifold, and a Mail-Order-Tune from Frost to delete the SES Code for less than the price of this piece.

I don't want to derail this thread and start a flame war, but in my opinion, I believe heatsoak from an aluminum intake robbing power versus a composite intake is a old wives tale. If it were true all aftermarket performance intakes would be plastic instead of aluminum.

Performance aluminum intakes on traditional small and big blocks that separate the plenum from the valley (which contacts hot oil and coolant) MAKE MORE POWER.
Icing a metal intake is a time proven way to increase power. Icing a stock 5.0 Mustang intake or LT1 intake has been well documented to improve track ET and traps speeds. Stock cars have seen .2 ET improvement, with another MPH or two. Heatsoak can rob a lot more power than people like you give credit to.
