My Custom CAI 4 Inch tubing, big air filter and some pipe...ready to catch flack for the open design, but it made a big difference and it was cheaper than a lid.

some simple green and a hose will make your engine bay look alot better
where is your upper radiator mount? and i doubt it made a big difference. lets say it adds 5hp max, and you have 350 hp stock. that's less than a 2% increase in hp. one wants to convince themself that it is a big difference and a result is the butt dyno goes out of calibration.

Total cost? Maybe 80 bucks, cheaper if I knew exactly what pipes to buy.

5HP? I would argue maybe 10, as a lid would add.

the radiator is most likely pressing the upper coolant hose against the water pump right now...the lid assembly base also serves the purposes to hold the top of the radiator inplace..
also it caps the top if the radiator to force more incoming air through it...

^ What they said, without that upper plastic piece, the AC condenser and Radiator are just kinda hanging loose. Mine were anyways. Now even worse since I deleted my AC... if I take my upper support off I can move my radiator quite a bit.
