Default BBK or pacesetter headers

Which ones are better? Best fitment, quality, durability etc.

The bbk chrome LT's and ory setup is $370 shipped and the pacesetter painted and TSP ory are $370 + shipping..

I think bbk makes good stuff, and maybe the chrome finish will last longer than the paint, which i've heard is a joke.

Also where do i get the egr block off plates? And do i need air block offs?

Thanks

Bbk is supposed to be a better quality and fitment. Ws6store sells block offs and if you get the race set of headers it won't come with the air tubes

I don't know about the Pacesetters, but the BBK LT's are well worth the money!
I have no regrets buying mine!

PM sent.

From what I have seen on here I would get the BBK's. I hope to get a set myself in the near future.

Is the collector on the BBK's 2.5"? it doesn't even say on their site, all it says is the Y is 2.5". If the collector is only 2.5", wouldn't the Pacesetter be the better buy with 3"? If they are 3", can't go wrong either way.

I am pretty sure the Chrome BBK's are on a big backorder. Might want to check into that before buying some. I love my Coated BBK's though.

I've been looking into this myself. Hard to beat the price of the BBK's and everyone who has them loves them and says the fit and finish is great.
The downfall is the 2.5" Y-pipe, and also it would be more difficult to go with true duals later on I think (thinking TSP T/D's that slip right onto pacesetters).
Also later down the line if I went heads/cam that extra .50" might be desirable no?
If I could find a summit racing coupon code I probably would have already ordered BBK's though..

Edit: or in the future if I wanted true duals could I just cut the flanges off the bbk's and slip on TSP TD's?

The 2.5" pipe on the Y wouldn't be the first thing to hold back power, the 3" merger exit would be. So if you're currently running a 3" cat back exhaust I wouldn't worry about it.

Up from the dead!

So pacesetters or BBKs. I am totally torn, and to throw another option in the mix, i am considering saving up my money for TSP headers, but I am not planning to do H/C down the road, so I am not sure is the TSP is even worth it.

Gah! I am so confused right now.

BBK unless you are talking about the stainless headers TSP is talking about making... Then I would get them if they are priced near their regular headers.

Whichever set of headers you buy I would definitely spend a little extra and buy the coated headers.

Cool, it seems like BBK is the best choice at the moment. i like it cause it comes with the Y pipe. I might just get the ceramic coated instead of the chrome coated.

Why not just dive in & get a set of Kooks long tubes. They are more expensive, but are worth it in quality & horsepower gains. They are also stainless & come jet hot coated for extra $$. However, installation is a pain in the ***. Just my $.02. Good luck with your decision.
