Rasp in my exhaust

I am sure this has been beaten like a red headed step child...but.....
I have a cat-free (no furrballs) bassani y-pipe, qtec cutout, and SLP dual-dual. The sound above 3k is awesome both open and through the muffler, but from 1500-3k I get a nasty rasp...even with the cutout open so I am thinking it is my y-pipe. Has anyone had this problem? figured it out? What should I do? Is this possible to fix? This rasp has to go.

Throw a bullet muffler in the I-pipe, that should help reduce it.

that should help a little but with almost any off-road y-pipe you will have rasp
