Any FAST Intake Assembly Hints?
I just pulled the stock intake and TB off and will be putting the 90mm TB and FAST intake on tomorrow. I am wondering if anybody has any useful hints that they might pass on before I dive into this? The intake did not come with instructions (or they were lost, etc.).
It looks pretty straightforward but you never know what may be lurking, certain places to make sure you have some gasket sealer (RTV) or things like that.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

As for tips, I know a few that have had "issues", but I honestly cant remember what they are. I'd definitly keep looking around for some info, I cant remember if the thread was on here or corvetteforum.

I know....but even the heads seem to be soft and easy to round off (I have had several scrap themselves) so I just don't do it. Its the same reason I don't torque those two long bolts in the rear of the oil pan (have snapped one off and had to play "get the piece out of the block" once already).
by the way, I have been meaning to ask you "is that an Austin Heally you have that LS1 in?"

It's an Austin clone kit by Classic Roadsters known as the Sebring MX. Weighs about 2300 lbs when finished with an Iron block in it. I hope to get it on the road this summer.
I know what you mean about those long damn skinny bolts. They are just plain scarry!

Back OT ... even though I have an in/lb wrench, I have always tightened small bolts by feel and only torqued heads, rods, and mains. That is the way I learned and have been a bit surprised at all the attention to torqueing small bolts.
