Drone is the noise you are going to be hearing in the car because the exhaust will be dumping under your car, and rasp is that nasty, mean exhaust sound (some like it, some don't). Just check YouTube for some videos, but it's hard to really know what it sounds like without hearing it in person.

It's when your exhaust goes from pleasant to unpleasant.
