SLP Lid-MAF
Im looking for the coupler that mounts the MAF to the SLP Lid. I pulled the procharger off the car when I bought it and it didnt have the stock Ram air intake set up, so I ghettod something to get me by, now im looking to get it set up back to stock. Ive got the ram air box, and the SLP lid, now im just looking for the coupler. I got both the box and lid used so I didnt get the correct coupler.
I pulled the picture of GM parts direct, i believe its number 3 that Im looking for but if anyone else knows if that will work, or something better to make them work thatd be great.

I'm in the same boat as you. I believe #3 in that picture is what goes from the stock air lid, to the intermediate air box (the big bubble thing #9). Then from that #9 to the maf i think there is suppose to be some sort of rubber deal to attach #9 and the maf... Or at least that is what i'm assuming. my car didn't have anything and the maf was simply stuck inside the SLP air lid opening when i got it, this isn't correct is it?

Yeah on second look, I think youre right.
I wouldnt imagine that being right, at least without something around the MAF. I was thinking of getting some 3" rubber hose to put over the MAF and put into the lid. If it has an airtight seal I dont see why it wouldnt work? But if someone else has a better idea....

Ill check them out. Im not looking for anything fancy, just something to make it work. Ive seen pictures of other TA's where the MAF slides right into the lid. But mines got a decent sized gap around the MAF when its in the lid...whatya get for buyin used I guess.

If it's just a little slop, wrap a few turns of black electrical tape
ans slip it in, then clamp for tightness? Maybe a few more slits in
the seating area of the neck will let you clamp it in better too.

the maf just goes right in the slp lid. then you use an slp smooth bellow like this to go from the maf to the throttle body. simple. http://www.speedinc.com/cont.cfm?cid=C0000008

I take back my statement. I just tried pulling my maf out and it wouldn't budge. If you dont care how it necessarily looks. Just go to home depot or something and get the pipe connectors. Measure your inlets n all that first. Or idk try turbo piping couplers. Silicone couplers dot com
