Default 2 Cutouts Better Than 1 Cutout??

I emailed QTP asking what they would recommend for my application. I have QTP LT, off road Y with GMMG CB CME.They told me 1-3" cutout would work after the Y. Could I install two 2 1/2" oval cutouts in the Y before it goes into one pipe? It seems like I would get a "Nasty Knarly" sound coming from each of the headers vs. just one cutout after both headers. I always thought 2 was better than one. What are your thoughts?
I'm a noob to this, so be gentle.

Here's a link to a thread that was started maybe 2 weeks ago that should answer the same question. https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...o-cutouts.html

Another variable you need to consider - you do not want the cutout too close to the O2 sensor or it will adversely affect its operation whenever the cutout(s) is open.

I don't have any O2 sensors or cats in my system.

Actually, in this case it seems to be the other way around.

You have the choice of 2 hot chicks, or 1 fat chick...

In general, it is always better to run 2 cutouts if you're going for top-end power.

2 cutouts for each header will always outflow 1 after the merge.

So, would the 2.5" oval cutouts work for my application if they were mounted in the Y? Thanks for your help. Click on the link to see the ones I'm referring to: http://shop.quicktimeperformance.com...ct_detail&p=42

Unless you can change your tune when you open the dual cutouts you will loose
power if your car is tuned through full exhaust. If you tune with the cutouts open and then close them up to run on the street you are going to be running rich.
