can i bore headers bolts out to 10mm ??

Default can i bore headers bolts out to 10mm ??

Hi

i need to re-thread some of my headers hole for the header bolts
(the bolts that goes into my heads)

itīs TFS215cc heads

is it ok to go from 8mm to 10mm thread

Why not do it right and helicoil it back to 8mm?

Is it not possible to make the holes 10mm, will the walls be to thin or what

if you can drill and retap the holes to 10mm, you can helicoil them just as easy. I'm sure you can get a hold of a helicoil kit.

Yup, and by going to 10mm bolts, you're opening yourself for a slew of new problems. Do one head or both? Drill manifold bolt holes to match? Swap manifolds and do it all again? Swap head(s) and redrill those to 10mm? Fuggedaboutit and just do it the right way!

While I always like bigger bolts, it makes more sense in this case to Helicoil it back to 8mm.
