I recently purchased a '01 Camaro SS through an auto auction, and came with all sorts of goodies. Full exhaust, pulley, cam, etc...When I was going to check the head casting number on the passenger side head, I noticed it was milled down. Do you guys have any idea of why it may be this way? Thanks in advance.

I did it to my 243's so people wouldn't know, also have done it to the TFs heads and used the head plates to cover up the engravings on the front of the head.
If you take the valve cover off, use a inspection mirror and look in the middle of the heads between rockers u should be able to see the other casting number.
