That's a pretty wide spread between 400rwhp and 460. You can get 400 rwhp with stock heads and bolt ons. To get 460 it will need to be a well thought out combo. Some good heads, compression, quench, the right cam for the heads you have and so on.

If you will be doing heads and cam soon it might not be worth to get a LS6 intake. You might want to look for a FAST intake.

However there are several knowledgable people on here that make 450-460 rwhp with LS6 intakes. If I could do things over again I would do them differently but that's part of life.

LilJay- First of all funny A** quotes! lmao...

On a more serious note lol I was in your shoes at one point and after I slapped on a Lid, Shortshifter and exhaust... I then put Headers on like "every" one else has suggested in this thread surprisingly lol.... so I would listen to the one's who know it best! I chose to go with the QTP-Quick Time Performance Long Tube "Stainless" (keyword) headers! They arent cheap.... but they will last a lifetime! At about $800 its about the best bolt that I have EVER BOUGHT IN MY LIFE (so far!).... and the sound that they produce... haha what a difference, at about 3x's louder turning heads everywhere I go! Good Horse gain too! Now if $800 is too much considering you are budgting yourself at 1k.... well then I suggest getting a pair of Coated LT Headers... but my saying has always been "you get what you pay for".... can't beat quality my friend! Good Luck!

1k; LS6 intake and BBK LTs w/ORY-pipe.

As far as suspension it depends on on if you plan on lowering the car.

With any long tube header you will have to get one of the two or have one made.

You will also probably have an issue finding QTP headers. I know they stopped making 4th gen's for a while to concentrate on 5th gen R&D. I'd look more toward TSP's new stainless 1 7/8 LT's that should be coming out soon with one of their Y's and a catback.

If you're not lowering it, then a set of Bilstein shocks and Strano sway-bars.

I agree... QTP might be a little difficult and I have heard nothing but good things about TSP... Best bet is headers. period. You wont regret it!

Sweet sounds like the overall option is headers! I will start looking and get some ordered and post up picks and video when i get them on. how difficult is it going to be to do myself? it looks like a bitch to get in there! but im going to do it regardless bc i don't want to have to put money to a shop when i know i can do it just wondering what im looking forward to.
