Default Actual Results?

Does anyone have any dyno sheets or time slips from adding an ls6 intake to their ride? I hear abou the butt dyno, but couldn't find any solid gains after adding this piece.

It was too long ago for me to be able to dig up and identify the before and after timeslips. But I do recall seeing an .05 ET improvement and .5 mph. Not dramatic, but it was consistently there. And the butt dyno said that there was increase in mid-range torque and better driveability.

My buddy put one on his chevelle and dropped a consistent .15 and gained 1 mph in the 1/8th mile. His is a 98 engine with 3" exhaust (stock manifolds), UDP, and CAI.

logging the grams/cyl, I was seeing a lot more air coming in. along with the butt dyno gain, more than enough proof to me that the LS6 intake swap is a mandatory bolt-on with great hp per dollar.

The LS6 intake has been time and time again a solid upgrade that shows results and is considered standard issue upgrades for cars that want N/A 400 RWHP. Once you start going beyond that there are alternatives but cars running MS4 cams on stock heads have sometimes un-corked up with 30-40 rwhp due to how restrictive the stocker was.

Seen it with my own eyes.

I gained more from the ls6 intake than my entire exhaust setup IMO. This was before the blower also. Its WELL worth doing at any mod stage, period...

Two things to add here: first, the car was still on manifolds when I made the swap. The LS6 intake will bring more to the table with the better breathing of LT's. In fact, it would be just plain wrong to install LT's and keep the LS1. Secondly, the improvement in driveability was signifcant. The motor felt smoother and stronger everywhere - especially in the mid-range.
