Is there a question here or are you sharing your pain with those of us who've been there, done that?

The PCV piping was probably already shot before you started this project-they all get hot, turn brittle then break just like yours did.

You can do one of two things:

1: Get the GM replacement piping, 12590632, $81.29 at partstaxi.com.

2: Do the LS6 PCV upgrade. More money, more work but a waaay better method of doing it: http://ls1howto.com/index.php?article=18

I must be the only guy who's changed the intake manifold and DIDN'T break the oil pressure sender. The only thing I broke was my knuckles.

Are you aware of the underside changes you need to make to get the LS6 intake to clear the coolant piping?

Gnarly looking engine ya got there. Mine looked way cleaner when I did the work with 175,000 miles on the clock. You are doing some cleaning & scrubbing, right?

I certainly hope you're not blocking off the rear coolant ports. Cylinders 7 & 8 need all the help they can get to keep cool.

Removing some of the ridges on the underside of the LS6 intake will let it clear the stock LS1 coolant lines. I chipped them off with a sharp wood chisel.

Ya stuff some rags into the ports. Some foamy engine degreaser, a gasket scraper and some elbow grease will do the job. Don't forget to remove the rags.

BTW, anytime the intake is off and you're doing other stuff, the intake ports should be stuffed with rags. You'd not want to accidentally drop something into a cylinder

Not me sir.

Never broke one and on my own car I have had the intake off about 3-4 times and still going strong. Biggest thing is taking the Brake Booster Hose and feeding it out correctly. Also I lift the intake up as I pull it out.

true. but i learned it the hard way am sure if i do it again i wont break anything, but that pcv hose was SO dry, not surprising on a 136k miles car.
