Default Loudest Legal Exhaust

By legal I mean, has Cat converter and Muffler, will pass emissions. Nothing to do with breaking sound laws

I'm not sure what emissions legal is since I don't deal with but if it has to be a muffler and have cats I would say true duals into 10-series Flowmasters. Loudmouth one is really loud if that works for you though and sounds great with cats.

I have the Magnaflow system on my car now and it's just too quiet for me but it does have great tone and sounds wonderful at WOT. I'm hoping to get LM1 soon.

Like a lot of people are saying, the Loudmouth would be the loudest you can probably get behind a catted Y, the Loudmouth literally flows straight through. Going to be kind of raspy I'm thinking though, but I like rasp to an extent myself.

Loudmouth sounds good, anyone know where to buy it? I don't need tips, I just need the system. And a good Y pipe to use.. I also am planning on gutting my cats, how much difference does that give?

They only do a visual inspection here.

Gutting your cats might not be such a good idea if you get caught lol. I bought this cat its supposodly the best flowing http://performance-curve.com/3thunde...ter415300.aspx
But If you want loud just run true duals with 2 cats or just run a catted y-pipe and dump it under the axle. (Neither with mufflers)

My friend had the loudmouth kit on his built 97 SS. It did sound great at idle and driving. He did get the attention from the boys in blue tho. Look in summit. I know they have the kits in there.

Depending on what state you're in, the loudest exhaust that's legal is stock. That's how it is in Virginia at least.

Not in Missouri, there are people with looooud exhaust, I just have to have a muffler and cats, I don't know how I would get caught with gutted cats really. They never do anything but a visual. Those cats do look good though, did they make any difference over your stock ones?

If you do not have emissions, you're good. I use to get away with gutted cats in my hometown..moved one county over and have to deal with some of the most strict emissions

Tons of poeple have loud exhaust here. That does not make them legal. In most places the stock exhaust is the loudest that is "legal". Most of the times the police will not bother you about it. I have true duals and it is extremely loud. The only time the police have mentioned it was when I had done something else to draw their attention.

On Ebay you can get the LM1 cat-back brand new for a little cheaper than anywhere else. If you want an ORY then I recommend going with the BBK headers that come with the ORY because IMO it's the best deal out there, as it is what I went with. And living in Missouri like I do, why should you care about emissions? Mostly all of the techs here just give it a "Texas visual" and call it a day. Make it loud because you can lol!
