Pull it, disassemble and grease its shaft and gearbox
if you can. It's a moving part in an unpleasant place.
Mine got sticky a while back, and a little assembly lube
in the butterfly shaft bore was all it wanted. But the
motor gearbox screws have already corroded in place
and I didn't get into that. I got another nonfunctional
unit for cheap that had failed, and took it apart - dry
as a bone in the gearhead and all worn out.
Cutouts want interval service like anything else. Just
nobody tells you (as if we read instructions anyway).
