Yep read ...
When replacing our stock TB with a ported one on a 1000 mile 2010 Grand Sport, oh my! Look what was all up in that new LS3 intake.
We put on one of the RX Performance catch cans. We sell them in different colors also. Definitely as the OP states, YES!
We have catch cans for NA and Turbo/SC/Nitrous applications.

Do you still have the factory PCV system, or LS6 valley cover?

OK, I have had some issues of "blow-by" and was assuming it was the rings. Now after seeing this i wonder if the rings are fine and that i just need to add a CC.(attached are pics of the runners on the heads)...It seams to be the worst in the front of the motor and gets lighter towards the rear...car has ported/milled 241 heads, Comp cam, and intake (wieland)
sorry..i can figure out to post pics on this site.......

Ok, so a catch can seems to be an inline component that just catches oil and maybe a little moisture? Whats the difference between the $$$ cans and the cheaper ones? What would convince me to spend so much on one? Are we paying for aesthetics? I dont have TCS so it would look nice in my engine bay....

Well....I put a breather on the drivers side valve cover (picture below), then I connected a vacuum line to suck fresh air and crankcase gases from the passengers side valve cover (pictured). Then I capped off my valley cover port and TB ports. So fresh goes into the drivers side valve cover and across the entire engine and out the passengers side.
But I have a needle valve in the vacuum line so I can adjust how strong that vacuum is pulling on the crankcase gases. I also completely shut it off for about 1 year to see what would happen.....absolutely no change at all in anything. Vacuum is not needed, just breathers.
I used a cigarette while it was idling and the needle valve wide open and it sucks all the smoke right into that filter. Since factory vacuum strength is way too much, I have it set at about 1/2 that.....and not a drop of oil is in my intake.

What I want to know is, if this is a big issue, why, even in the 5th Gens, do they not still include a catch can? 5th Gens have this issue too, see:

Manufacturers see catch cans as a potential fire hazard.
