Default GMMG vs Corsa

I'm buying a car with pacesetter headers, TSP catted Y, and a GMMG catback. I love the tone of the GMMG but it's still a little too loud for me even with the cats. I always liked Corsa exhaust but have never heard one in person. How loud is the Corsa vs GMMG?

Also, I drove a 02 TA with pacesetters, catted Y, and magnaflow and thought the magnaflow was right around the volume I want but maybe still a hair loud. How does Corsa compare to Magnaflow?

Corsa is definitely louder than the Magnaflow. My Dad's WS6 had Kooks LT's, catted Y and the Corsa catback, had a very loud tone that had a good bit of rasp to it.

I have no experience with GMMG or Magnaflow, but I have a Corsa catback on my TA and it is very loud compared to other catbacks. I personally love it, but it sounds like your looking for something a bit more tame.

Yea I'm looking for something that sounds good and isn't super loud and then I plan on adding a cut out

Well the Corsa isn't loud enough for me, so Im redoing my whole exhaust this winter and freeing up some more hp. Im switching to TSP 1 7/8" stainless headers, custom stainless ypipe into 4" merge, 4" QTP cutout, and my stainless Corsa catback.

Should make for a nice exhaust for cruising and racing haha!

I went with Magnaflow and cutout, quiet or loud when I want.

That's what i want but I'm just not a magnaflow fan. Also, I love the corsa tips. I geuss I'll try putting a bullet in the I pipe for the GMMG. maybe that will give me what I want.

Before the cam (all stock except for a lid)

After the cam with stock manifolds and cats

GMMG isn't loud and obnoxious until you go without cats, if you keep cats on there it sounds deep, heavy and refined is how I like to describe it. There are other ways to quiet it down. Use the "SEARCH" feature.

I have 1-3/4 headers, catless y-pipe and corsa. It is loud as ****. Go magnaflow.

It doesn't drone and is quiet at partial throttle, but at WOT... (death)

Exhaust sound clip, quality is kinda low. Grotts coated LT's, 3" Y-pipe (no cats), Corsa 3" Catback.

Magnaflow is the quietest around? I drove one with magnaflow and it sounded good but was actually still a little loud.

I plan on a cam, 1 7/8" TSP headers (instead of pacesetters), and maybe heads soon. WIll my GMMG get ridicuouly loud afterwards?

I have GMMG with Cats, Kooks LT's and loved it. After H/C it's a little loud for me, I'm either going Kooks TD's which I've heard in person and is much quieter than my setup, or a powerstick on the "I" pipe.

magnaflow is not loud at all compared to Corsa. When ur car is cammed it gives it a realy nice chop sound to it. I loved my old corsa if only they was not so expensive!

It must be the headers really. My friend had gmmg with stock manifolds and cats and you couldn't even really hear it imo. If this and the magniflow are too loud for you you should probably just go to Midas and have them put a standard muffler on it. Cam, heads, and 1 7/8 headers? Good luck.

If you like the deeper growl of the GMMG, I would recommend a step further and look into 3"-4" setup with a single Flowmaster 10 muffler.
