Does anyone know what bolt to use with the asp pulley?

I just went to a GM dealer and got a new crank bolt for 4.50.

I used the standard GM one too. ARP makes a reusable one but it's like $25.

I have heard that the standard bolt is a little short is this true? Also what is a gm stretch bolt? Do you guys put lock tite on the threads when you put the bolt back in?

I had no problems with it being to short. The GM part number for the bolt is 12557840. It should come with thread lock on it but mine didn't so I had to put some on it. Either way it should definatly have thread lock on it when you install it.

Just go to the dealer and get a new bolt....thats what I did and it workd great. We did use the old bolt to start the pully though

I bought both the ARP bolt and the stock GM bolt and you get what you pay for!!! ARP all the way!!!! If you guys need a brand new Stock GM bolt, I still have mine, just let me know. Later!!!
