Default ram air kit filter advice,

I'm trying to get a ssra, but it hasnt come in the mail yet.

Anyways, what filter should I use?

I have a holley powershot and a spare k&n

should i buy the paper filters every month or so since it gets super dirty quick? or the washable fram style?

or just reoil either the holley or k&n every month?

I dont care about what flows best, i already know it doesnt matter. Jus need opinions on how i should approach this.

Every month???

There are guys on BITOG that use filter gauges that show even when a filter looks dirty, the pressure drop (restriction) does not usually increase. So, they aren't changing paper filters for 2+ years. We clean & re-oil the our cloth (K& N style) filters every 6 months to a year.

A filter gauge will indicate exactly when the filter needs cleaning if you want to use one. Otherwise, 6 months to a year on a cloth style or every 2 years on a paper style filter is a general measured average.

I would run a paper filter. When I run a paper filter my oil will stay nice and yellow. When I run the K and N my oil turns black within just a few rides. I don't think the K and Ns catch all the fine dust particles as well as paper.
