BBk=24lbs
LS6=10lbs
24-10=14lbs
Not trying to be an ***, just trying to show allllllllllll that added weight isn't allllllll
that much(+14lbs). Run 2 less gallons of gas in the tank if it bothers anyone
that much. See how insignificant it really is? Still want to see results on testing the two intakes if anyone has the data. Sounds like there are positive results. How much is the question.

"Heat soak argument makes me laugh"
Regarding the head soak issue. One can get the inside of the runners coated with a ceramic thermal barrier. I have done it with my highly modified TPI intake manifolds. Also you can get the outside coated with a heat despersent. There are ways around the issue if one feels it is important. IMHO I think the BBK intake manifold would be a big positive in the hands of a good porter.

There is some good info in this thred ! I was debating between BBK & FAST I`m thinking that the BBK is a better choice for my needs as the FAST does not have a provision for the EGR system on my car & the BBK does plus the FAST is twice the price !! . I too was a little concerned about the weight difference but I guess 14lbs is`nt too bad LOL . Now we just need to see some dyno graphs !!

Proffesional products is imo the best intake for the price. It is a 96mm im and tb. The ricer math was not at you just all of the others. I heard a guy with a 4 banger say wel i have 200 less then you. I reply yes but i have 150 more hp. Ya but you are heavier. There is no point in yelling at stupid.

It wasn't too rough just tried smoothing a few edges out, I paid 250 used for mine. It does get a little hot on long cruises but the whole engine does too. I'm pretty sure the member studderin did a dyno compare on intakes . Try searching to see if it comes up, I'm on my phone but his results made me get one.

the few typhoons i have ran across are junk not saying they all are but i have seen issues with them, there has be more than 2 cases where they had sealing issues, bbk isnt a bad intake if you buy used, but imo new there not worth it, you can pretty much buy a used one for a few bucks more than a ls6,i saw a few on cls the other day for 330,345 thats not to bad, but i did see a ported ls1 intake on there for 200 lol,i think it really depends on the setup , i agree though talking lbs and heat soak on your everyday street car is kinda dumb,
