Here's a tip you don't hear much about, place a shop rag into the motor mount opening on both sides. If you drop a bolt or spark plug into the motor mount when removing them you'll understand why I suggest this.

I know I'm getting this thread off topic but I'd hate to see anyone here get killed while working under there car, I'm sure everyone here has read or heard on the news were someone died while working under there car. Now this is sick but it might drive home the message, www.seemerot.com .

Maybe I'm missing something, do some of you think that the weight of a car will actually squash a pallet? Trust me, these are made of real wood. Designed to lift and move tons of weight, not trying to insult you DARK AGE 53, but you need to get out more.
Stupid question, go easy on me 
So i have a 1 3/4 ton floor jack and i know for a fact that i cant get my car as high as you guys in your pics here. What size jack did you all use to get the car up that high? Also once i figure that out, is jack stands the safest way to go? I can do something along the lines of those pallets too, except using solid wood(not to degrade the pallets, i worked in a warehouse for 3 years and i know they are plenty strong) Let me know whats safest, i think i'm going to be installing some jet hot LT's soon!
