SLP new design exhaust
So i am looking into finishing my exhaust before i get my heads an cam together... wondering if anybody has tried slp new exhaust design? This package has LT hf cats an y. I already have the cat back on. The price was a little more than I was trying to spend, But I will.
**is the Mac exhaust any good**
One more thing CUT OUTS yes or no seem like a plus imo.

Go with TSP! Stainless 1 7/8 LT headers for $500, $130 off-road 3" stainless y-pipe with a better merge than the SLP Y-pipe...you can't beat their prices! The catted Y-pipe is also stainless (I believe, not 100% sure) for $350, so $850 for a full stainless set-up minus the catback.

What's wrong with the TSP cats? I would go with cutouts with a quiet exhaust. Right now I'm running TSP headers, Pacesetter ORY (TSP wasn't in stock), and a Borla adjustable exhaust with a cutout in place of the adjuster plates. Closed it's a little louder than a stock car with a loud catback, open it's race car loud

I would take a set of TSP, Kooks, or ARH headers over anything SLP puts out, then get a custom Y made or buy from the header manufacturer.
cutouts are a matter of opinion and noise tolerance, you really only gain 6-10hp and trap a little faster speed in the 1/2. i particularly don't care for them.

Go for the cutout(s)!!! Definitely worth it! It's very convenient being able to have a mean sound, But also having the option to have a more tame/less aggressive sound when you need it.

Whatever you do... DO NOT order DMH cutouts direct from their website. I waited a month without a response before I decided to order one from QTP. If you can pickup a DMH cutout from somewhere else, do it. And as for the placement... if you like the sound of open headers, put 1 after each cat. If you still want it to be loud but nothing that would be too annoying for highway driving... One on the i-pipe (right before the rear axle) would still sound great. Both options, I've *heard have no differences in terms of power when dyno'd, so 2 wouldn't be better like you'd think.

I'm old, So i am running Kooks Long tubes with catted Y and SLP Dual/Dual. ZERO rasp, no stinky smell. SLP has some pretty good catbacks, but other brand headers have been proven to perform better and provide greater ground clearance.

Oh... well hell, if it's gonna be a full time track car then I would just say F it and run duals, no cats, no mufflers since you don't have to worry about emissions/sound/etc. Anyway lol, go with 2, 1 after each cat if it's just gonna be a track car!

Hooker LT, 3" metal matrix high flow cats, CME TD with the new powerflo mufflers aka "new design SLP catback" mufflers.
