Questions about milling ls2 243 heads can i degree them? -how much to mill? Ok,i took my 243 heads to the machine shop,I was talking to the owner who has several small blocks turning 8k-anyways he said something about decking the heads on a degree.He took a set of 23 degree sbc heads and had them taken down to 20 degrees,he said it picked up 70 hp with no other changes,now this motor was making aprox 750 anyways but i was wondering if i could do this with the ls stuff?
He said i would have to degree the dowels and clearance for the pushrods if need be.
Also i have a street strip build and plan on running the tourker v2 cam with ls6 intake and said heads.How much should i mill them?I can get 93 octain fuel here and thats what im gonna be running anyways.I dont want a dyno or trailer queen,and no drivability problems.
