When can I expect a donated 102 LSX-RT for marine testing?

Someone wanting individual wipers on an f-body could check a walk in van supply place such as mill supply.

Can you use the fat style injectors with this manifold or do you need to use the skinny style?

Can you elaborate on that a bit? I'm actually interested in this.

Its designed for the skinny style, the fat ones wont fit without some minor modifications.

I just read that about the lsxr last night. Im on the fence about going with the LSXRT or the LSXR. The LSXRT has to kick the LSXR's *** for me to cut up my car. I need to see some results.

Did you see post 67??.....LOL

That was with stock heads! At the end of the day on a good set of heads I suspect one of my ported truck intakes could be worth an additional 20 HP peak (more past peak) and in the vicinity of 15 - 20 ft/lbs of torque over and above a ported LSXR manifold.

While that isn't going to make your car feel altogether different, its not an insignificant power gain but does come at the expense of alot of work getting it to fit under the hood of an F-Body and especially a Vette.

For most of us its a big tease truthfully (and its kinda painful to know there is a manifold available that is that much better). Unfortunately it just comes with a host of fitment issues that make it an option for only a select few willing to go thru all the trouble. Now if I was reading this and modding a truck or a different hot rod that had the room I would have a pretty big grin plastered on my face right now!

I did see that but thats a gain vs a stock truck intake. I want to see a test between the two FASTs on the same motor.

dr whigham, What I,m referring to is the single motor assembly,s that you see on large aluminum step or panel vans. My former utilimaster p-30 work truck had a set that was purchased through a company called mill supply in their step van / walk in van catalog. They were a universal design, had delay.Haven,t had a chance to look at a f-body or the wiper motor to see for myself if it,s possible, but it sounds like it could be . You could call a few junkyards or truck places for something used or to at least look at.
Being an innovator takes footwork to make it happed. I just came up with the thought.
By the way, I grew up in Gueydan, think you know where that,s at & why one would leave.

LOL! Yep.

Thanks for the clarification. I'm also wondering if I could maybe relocate the motor itself and run a few cam arms to the wiper assembly that way.

Sorry to muck the thread Tony, but thanks so much for posting the results. As soon as the property sells, I'll be calling you.

Wow, thanks for sharing. I wish the design could be changed slightly to fit the f-body's better, especially around the cowl.

Sorry to bump this semi old thread.

Could someone with a LSXRT laying around please see if it can be reverse mounted, with the inlet on the back of the motor.

Thanks!

You probably would need a cowl induction hood at worst. You,d jusr need to measure the listed height next to the room you have.
One would fit in my 83 el camino with my 2.5" cowl hood last I checked.
