I read one thread on that topic. I have read several topics, and talked to several people about them HELPING power. Too many people are fixed on dyno numbers nowadays. You can have your car dynoed one day at a certain shop's dyno at a certain temperature..get one number..and a few hours/days/weeks/months later dyno the same setup at a different shop's dyno and get totally different numbers. Proof can better be seen at the track.

My car is at 405whp right now, and with the mods planned for this spring I should be around 425whp with an auto. That is enough for me to go with 1 7/8" headers. And if/when my 56k mile stock bottom end h/c/i ls1 motor lets loose I plan to upgrade to a stock botttom end h/c/i ls2 which will def. take well to 1 7/8" headers. For me its a no brainer.

thats not always the case , some might make more , some might make less

it all depends on entire combo of all parts

bigger is not always better unless you are a **** star , LMAO

Like I said it MAY make more power. I never said it WOULD.

But yes on almost all 425whp setups I would venture to say 1 3/4" headers would be hiding better numbers.

just put bbks on my car last week and they went in so smooth. took us 8 hours total and that's fully cleaned up, lots of smoke breaks, and dinner. once all the old stuff was removed it literally took us an hour to bolt the new stuff in. only point that was close to rubbing was the passenger side collector. cleared some room with a hammer just in case and no problems.
