Everyone always says they dont care about dyno numbers, only track times but everytime there is a fast thread that changes.

For you guys looking to upgrade your ls1 intake I will make it simple.Get an ls6
intake, bigger tb ported by potz or any 80-85mm, air lid,maf ends ported or new,and do the heads and cam. This will give you at least 40-60 rwhp extra. Why pay $1000 for a Fast and gain a so called 20 rwhp which you will not get unless you have cam,.heads anyway.
Remember an ls6 is good up to 450rwhp and lets face it majority of us would be smiling ear to ear with 450rwhp for a long time.

No...if detoxx gained almost 30rwhp and over 30rwtq with a Ported FAST 92 on a stock headed 224/230 cammed and 3600 stall no way id run an LS6

That's one particular car...I would like to see a back to back dyno test on like 3 cars at once...one bone stock ls1, one with cam only boltons, and one full race all out h/c/I....to me that would give an idea of how much a fast will improve over ls1/6 intakes...I would like to see where the ls6 actually restricts you..

When I was cam/boltons I had the ls1 intake and went to a Fast 90mm with typical porting. Throttle response was up down low just a tad, but over 4k rpm it was a whole different car.

Rough estimates based on track MPH is 15-20rwhp with a reverse split cam.

On a bone stock motor the gains are marginal because the stock cam falls off where the LS6 does. When you go bigger, the LS6 can't keep up on the top end.

My peak hp with the ls1 intake was ~5600rpm, with the Fast it moved to ~5900rpm. While that isn't nothing drastic, I would say its a fair indication that the intake was choking things off early.

I'm sure I have it somewhere but i'm not about to go digging it up to prove a point.

All correct except the cam I was running at the time was a Futral Motorsports F11 (228/230)
