jlcustomz - I agree and good luck with your setup. once this gets installed on my car Im going to be tinkering around with a dual TB setup I have had in mind.

Dual throttle body setup, huh. One of my more complex ideas for a broader powerband range inducing intake is something that some motorcycles for instance have had years ago.The intake would mainly breathe through lengthy torque producing runners & above a certain rpm, your 2nd throttle body would kick in & breathe through a shorter length of the runners. That way you could have the off idle torque of a tow truck manifold & the additional top end of a low profile sheetmatal manifold.
Easier said than done. Think I,ll stick to my single stage cross ram intake idea.

I truely think this intake will work for my car. With looking at the starting pieces to the final product there has been a LOT of change. Removing the cast marks from the runners and opening up the TB should help with airflow. Hopefully we can get it installed this weekend and then next week hit the dyno.

Well the intake is on and now Im waiting for the TB to arrive. Everything fits pretty well except the TB cable bracket was rubbing, so Im doing some grinding on that to make some clearence.

Do you have dyno results before the addition of this modified weiand intake? Are you going to dynotune now? Super curious to see how much you've gained

Rare96LT1Formula- I dont have any dyno #s from my motor prior to the rebuild/intake.

Today my TB arrived and I was able to get it cleaned up and installed. HOLY CRAP, I just took it over to the gas station on base and the motor feels like an entirely different motor. I can not believe how much more crisp the throttle feels. I still need to get it tuned and dyno, my appt is wednesday morning. Here are a couple finished pics of the project, once I have some numbers I will post them up.

LMAO, thanks. Its the old style ram air box, you cant see it but there is a gasket that seals the intake to my hood nostrils.

Lingenfelter is beyond simply looking at a throttle body opening and saying "Maybe if we make it the hole bigger, itll make more power". All the TB opening does is allow air into the plenum.

They understand that the internal runners are what change power and make the big difference in a manifold.

Ive done as much intake dyno testing as anyone, this intake would be a fun project and is surely scores points for being different. I dont think it will make much more power if its properly tested against an out of the box intake. He will gain a couple from going to the 90mm and maybe a few if he did a good job removing casting flash and minor porting!

Yeah seriously, wasnt the last thing Lingenfelter did with f bodys the 98 Hurst? This mod is simply a take on the TPIS LS6 which has shown gains. I will be doing this mod mostly because it is different and cost is really low. If possible I will borrow an adapter to run a stock TB on the snout and then put in an 85mm MAF and the 92mm TB
