1 7/8" arh HEADER INSTALL BY RPM
I had ARH 1/7/8" headers and hypo cats installed yesterday on my 2001 SS M6
Race Proven Motorsports installed and dyno tuned yesterday.
What a great group of guys. What a great job they did, and in a timely manner.
one day. My daughter and I were there for the tuning.
base line dyno
312.63 hp 330.39 torque.
after install and tune
340.50 hp 358.98 torque.
I have owned this car since new and have wanted this all this time.
My wife finally said get them now you just turned 60. So I did.
I would recommend these guys anytime all day long.

extra horses with cat-back
I really don't know If I would gain more. I guess I would although I didn't
think the SS exhaust was all that bad.
I didn't ask the guys at RPM.Maybe some one with personal experience or knowledge will answer that one.

Unless it's an SLP optioned dual dual exhaust, the stock muffler is actually quite restrictive. A nice aftermarket catback would probably get you a few more HP.
Here was a post someone did cutting open a stock muffler to have a look inside.

Let the man enjoy the awesome gains
Actually I could improve by doing more I am sure. I almost didn't post
because these things sometimes deteriorate into an argument over 1 3/4 vs 1 7/8 or this mfg over that mfg. etc.etc.
I thought I had good gains and really wanted to thank Race Proven Motorsports.

I can see an EASY 10rwhp, just swap in a high flow muffler! A Magnaflow #12267 (about $105) or a Dynomax# 17227 (about $104). Both are Stainless Steel, Quiet, and will swap in with minimal modification at a exhaust shop!
