These stock manifolds are three pieces sonic welded together. They are plagued with ridges where the pieces join together. Porting removes those ridges and bumps to create better air flow through the manifold. Do you happen to have a single truck intake runner for sale? Maybe one that has a problem? I am experimenting with a SBC intake manifold and that runner seems to be a good one, so no reason to re-invent the wheel.

 

Any gains to be had on an ls6 intake if the tb is already ported and running 9lbs boost???

 

Are you referring to the runners from a FAST truck manifold? I don't have them in stock, but I can order a set of 8 if you need them. Send me a PM if interested. If you're referring to a stock truck manifold, we don't have any junk ones on hand that you could tear apart.

 

There is not much gain from porting the LS6 manifold. At this point, we don't do radical porting to the LS6. On the intake manifold side, your next step up would be to go to a FAST102 setup. You can go to our website at http://www.peakspeedshop.com/ to find pricing on a FAST102 system.

Do you happen to know the inside length of the FAST straight truck runner?

 

does this include the tbss manifold?

 

That would be better yet. Then I would only have to add the head dimension. Just trying to get a ball park figure.
