TSP 1 7/8" SS headers - $500
TSP SS ORY - $130
02 Extensions/Header gaskets - $80
Magnaflow SS catback - $400

Just a tad over your $1K budget.

Get the 1 7/8" header. Preferably stainless. With your budget, that leaves one option, the TSP headers. Your leaving extra power on the table if you get a 1 3/4 header. Even more so in the future if you mod the motor.

If you want loud all the time, get true duals. I really like the sweet thunder chambered mufflers on TSP dual setups. If you want quiet, get a magnaflow or a used slp dual dual exhaust. Both are stainless, high quality, and they won't break the bank.

Tsp 1 3/4 w/ ory and magnaflow with a cutout. Should be around $1000 and for a full stainless exhaust that's not bad.

Agreed but I'd splurge the extra $100 for the 1 7/8" headers. No sense in leaving power on the table imo

You will be fine with 1 3/4 headers, but do make sure you get stainless. Like I said before, 3'' true dual over axel in not a hard system to make. If you want all the ingredients to make this system just hit me up and I'll give you a list of what it takes. I have been pondering putting the list together with pictures of how mine is put together, but I don’t have a high lift to be able to get good pictures of it.

will most likely be getting one of the Tsp headers, I like the price of the 1 3/4 and i've read that the 1 7/8 are more for the bigger cubes. I'm not really wanting tips so I'm leaning towards dumps.. tsp longtubes > orx > what mufflers? I want loud but i'm open to anything atm. friend of mine thinks series 10 flowmasters will sound great and I like the look of them dumped before axle from behind. Anyone have spiral flows? moroso i think they are. I heard they have a hollow nice ripple sound kind of like the mustangs

I just got done putting my custom true dual set up (with x-pipe) with the Moroso spiral flow mufflers. They sound great and somewhat quiet at idle, but open up nicely when you put your foot down. I have MAC mid lengths and purchased a universal x-pipe kit from Summit and the mufflers. The kit/mufflers was only abut $200; but I have a welder and fabbed it myslef,so that is where I save the $.

If your looking towards dumps get the TSP TDs with sweet thunders. Already fabed and easy to install. Takes the guess work out.

Sweet thunders are chambered...You'll get about the same tone as flowmaster super 10s but will have more clearence with the thunders.
Sweet thunders are supposedly louder than the morsow or spirals.
I'm ran out the back and it honestly could still be a bit louder.

I just remembered, last summer I went to a local shop and seen if they would do dumps for me, temporary exhaust until later.. (picked up the bullets for cheap) .. cut Y AFTER stock cats and then weld in a x with loudmouths dumped before axle. They said it was illegal and wouldn't do it for me. they quoted about 200 bucks to run them from the x over the axle on pass. side then my stock tips. I didn't want to do that.. so i left.

^^^Buying a pre fabed exhaust would be easier and probably better since i'm going to do the header install myself anyway.

I looked up tsp prices of everything and this is what i'm at so far.

Texas Speed Rumbler Sweet Thunder True Dual
SKU: 25-RumblerSweetThunder $459.99

Texas Speed & Performance 1-3/4" Long Tube Headers
SKU: 25-1344G304 Change This Kit
- No Y-Pipe Included
- 19" O2 Extensions- Pair
- Exhaust Manifold Gaskets- Pair
- None $464.98

Shipping And Tax Estimate
Shipping: (UPS Ground) $82.98
Tax: $0.00
Total: $1,007.95

as you see, i have reached the 1k limit.. should i do this setup or should i try to get custom duals/dumps cheaper? i would love to give a sponsor my business but i'm in a tight spot.. help me decide

What else will I need for the header install? I do have the ls1 intake still and do not plan on upgrading it just yet due to funds. So what will I need to run the ls1 intake with the headers.. Please get me on the right track so i don't run into problems once i get started

eBay headers and the TSP duals should have you around 800 bucks. Enough for a mail order tune as well.

I'm going to get kicked in the face for this but I'd go eBay headers 1 3/4, TSP ORY, and one of there catbacks. I have this setup and my headers fit perfectly fine with no rubbing or banging with a TSP ORY and TSP rumbler catback. And you'll have a decent amount of money left over.

YUP! Stainless and under 200 bucks. You will love them. Seriously, put the extra $ towards an LS6 Intake and/or a mail order Tune.

On second thought, do you have an Auto??

Get a stall before anything else, or swap the T-56 in there.
