Default Need Plug Gap advice

New NGK TR55IX plugs arrived today and I want to be sure to set them correctly this time. Last time I only had the 85MM MAF and RAM AIR at the time so I set it at a conservative .58MM gap.

Given my info (below) now with Pacesetter LT and few minor bolt-on's can anyone suggest the appropriate gap settings (.55, .52, .50)??? If it helps I have an HP Tuner order pending.

Much appreciated.

I gap mine at .55 and haven't had any problems yet. But I do change my plugs just about as much as I do oil changes.

With just those mods and no major internal work I would just use the gap that come gapped at. I think its .55, I could be wrong.

I have the same plugs, they are gapped at .050, and work great! I would leave 'em alone since you run the risk of damaging the electrode since its so incredibly small. The pre-set gap is perfect for your mods.

Just to let you guys know....I've ran into a lot that were pre-gapped over .60.... Might want to double check next time you change them.

Thanks for the advice. I believe the factor for the iridium (IX) was .55 and the standard TR55 is .60. I'll probably stick w/ .55 given the advice.

I think the rule is start at factory (60) and take 4 off for every 50 HP.

Is that 4 off for every 50 additional N/A horsepower, or power adder hp?
