Can oem intake bolts be used with the FAST or are theirs required? Same question about gaskets. Will oem gaskets work to seal the intake to the heads?

Thanks
FACT: I just traded the intake gaskets off my LS6 to the FAST 102.
They fit and seal perfectly. They also worked w/the FAST 90.

do the intake port gaskets need to be changed if you pull the intake off a lot of times?

It depends on what they look like. If they are over a yr old, I vote just get new ones. When I pulled my LS6 the first time, I had the stock gray gaskets. They were melted, and FLAT, flush with the intake itself. The FelPro's I replaced them with look WORLDS better.

****! I didnt change my valley cover bolts when I installed my fast102.

Is there any way to tell if the bottom part of the intake manifold is cracked?

When you pull the intake off and look at the bottom, more than likely you will not see any cracks, only dimples on the outside. Don't be fooled, pull the top shell off and get to where you can see the bottom of the intake floor. This is where you will see cracks. I dealt with this problem buying a used intake that I spent many hours saving. I should have pics if needed.

yeah man if you don't mind, send them to my email, i'll pm you my email, so you're saying the crack is not on the outside but inside the intake floor? i really hope there's no any cracks, is there any way to tell by sound alone? if there's crack, what are my options, it'd be suck if i need to get new intake...

Every spot that you see epoxy is where an oem valley cover bolt made a slight impression, no cracks visible from the outside. I scuffed every area up to promote a good bond between the plastic and epoxy and the added material on the bottom is just added strength. Can’t be too careful. (Ignore the red lines, that is from a post I did on coolant tube options)

I apologize for the dark pic, but it is the only one I have that shows how small of an indentation on the bottom can cause the cracks on the intake floor.

Here are some of the cracks. 6 in all

man i really hope mine's not that bad yet, it's only been in the car for 2 months now..

Sweet: do you think if there's any cracks on the intake would it affect performance? this could be the answer to my problem losing power switching from ls6 to fast 102

if the crack allows unmetered air into the manifold then oh yeah
