I'm not impressed with any of the FAST intakes. I have an LS6 and have raced many cars with similar mods, except they were running a FAST. I've beaten way more FAST equipped cars, than I've lost to. For what they cost I think they're a total waste of money unless you have money to **** away. Dyno numbers are cool to look at with a FAST. But I'd rather have an LS6 car that wins races.

The Fast intakes are junk......don't wast your money on them. there's an article on the web that shows how porely they are made.
the runners arn't sealed properly at the seats and there is a ridge on the runners where they are seamed together that isn't sealed either. not to mention the thread sets in them pull out way to easily.
get you a good BBK intake, polish the runners and port the TB side and you'll be alot happier in the long run like me, but without blowing a grand in the process like i did.

Vacuum in the intake is costing you power weather it sees the track or not. Where you drive it has nothing to do with if it's overrated or not.
Yes, I will agree a lot of cars have a fast intake and don't need it. But to some people like me, if I out ran the capabilities of the ls6 intake, I would go straight for the fast...Even if it was just a weekend cruiser. Simply because if I change my mind in The future, I don't Have to buy yet another intake, and I think all aluminum, stock style intakes are hideous.

Don’t get the BBK. I have it and got it for the price difference and all the other "pros" about it. The quality is sub par, the burst plate WILL leak if boosted, and the heat soak is terrible. If I could do it all over again I would have spent the extra coin for the FAST. Just sayin.

No. Porting is virtually useless on a ls6, unless you mean the 90mm snout conversions, which is helpful but still does not meet the capabilities of a stock Fast intake. A properly ported Fast will be even better still.
But if you mean just someone taking their sanding rolls to the opening and the runners of the ls6 intake...total rip off from the results I've seen posted.

I sold my Mamo ported FAST90 for $650 probably 8 months ago. Then I needed another and bought a ported 90 less than 6 months ago for $550. The deals are there, just don't get ripped off. The 102 is better than the 90/92, it's a better made piece all together.

But does it hurt power being on a 346ci?

Hmm that makes me wanna do it even more. I have a brand new ls6 intake still in the box never installed and found a ported 90 fast with 90 mm nick Williams tb included for $1400. If I could sell the ls6, you think that'd be worth it?
