Default knocking sound after ls6 intake

Ok guys so here's the story i went down to a buddys shop of mine yesterday to swap out intakes from a stocker to a ls6 after the reinstall we went to fire the car and and all of a sudden this loud knocking sound stared to happen we shut the car off right then n there took the intake back off and inspected everything, made sure a valve wasn't bent or nothing was inside bouncing around that mabie i had dropped inside but when we did finish inspecting nothing was there so i put it back on and get ready to fire it up again and I'm nervous as hell thinking i magically spun a rod or something just sitting there and have to tow my car home...... So i fired it up and BOOM!!!!! lol jk.....but we fired it up and the knock wasn't there anymore.. ..has this happen to anyone before?

Wish I knew what that knock sound sounded like. Definitely a strange phenomena.

Maybe it was a bad case of piston slap. Idk these cars are known for that. Mine is worse sometimes for some reason

You probably dropped a piece of carbon or debris into the intake port and the motor passed it. Did you give the intake a good shake and a hard look inside? Most of a piston can end up inside there if that intake came from a blown motor.
