Default bolt on hp

Well finally almost have everything before I get my car dynoed and tuned. It's a 98 z28 a4. Bolt ons are gonna be Slp lid, ported fast 90/90, tsp lts with the bullet true duels, 160 thermostat, SSRA ram air ac version, and 3.73 gear. I wanna hear some estimated guesses at rwhp and ets at the track after dyno tune and see if my predictions seem about right

350 rwhp/ 340tq depending on how big of pipes youre putting on. Remember bigger isnt always better unless youre runnin a turbo

And as for your 1/4 time im goin with mid to low 13's depending on how you drive. Saying this simply because my sgt drives a 2000 trans am ws6 with a few simple mods and tune like you're talking he dyno'd at 355rwhp and 360tq and runs consistent mid to low 13 1/4 mile times

I would get a convertor, long before I dumped the cash on a Fast 90/90. They are going for way more than they are worth, IMO. Do you have it already, did you get a deal on it? I've seen people wanting close to a grand for ported Fast 90's. 102s seem to consistently beat them on the dyno. I'm not an expert on them as I've never owned either, but have given them alot of thought lately, a different intake will be my next mod. I'm leaning towards, a mildly ported 102, like the Vengance Racing, it can be had for 1g or less. I'm planning on pairing it with a NW 92 tb, to clear my existing water pump.

I will tell you from personal experience, that the converter was the best mod I ever made to my A4 car, and would prioritize it above all others. If I could chose only 1 mod, that would be it. If you are a 3.42 gear stock, your will feel way more from a converter, than the swap to 3.73. Getting the converter sets you up for the cam swap next too, where a pretty big hit lies. You can run a decent cam with a stock intake, but you can't run it with a stock converter.

I think the estimate of the low 13's is about right, my 98 convertable with similar mods, but a 3.42 gear and converter ran a best of 13.11 at about 106, with 1.90's 60 ft times, on stock sized street raidals (Firestone Firehawk Indy 500s). With the A4 I think 350 is optimistic, I made about 335 at a similar point.

#s depend on the dyno and track time depends on the density altitude.
My car with close mods did 326rwh on a mustang dyno and 337 on dynojet.
It did anywhere from 13.2-12.6 in a wide range of DA difference. This is BEFORE I did the stall of course.

Yeah he runs about a 13.10 to a 13.50 his launch usually makes or breaks him on that. And i think 350 is posssible with it but its alll going to come down to the tune. But i agree with going with the convverter. You can make power all day long but you need good acceleration from and a higher stall will help your launch once you good a good bit of seat time and feel it out a lil bit

I already have the intake and tb. I have everything listed. The 3.73 is the only thing installed so far. I did that last summer, went from a 2.73 and made a huge difference. Car already runs mid to low 13s with just the gear. So I know ill be in the 12s with everything else I have and a tune. Have a buddy with an 02 6 speed with a 4.10 only and he ran high 12s all day long with traction.

OK, I'll guess...340 rwhp @ 12.6 (assuming full weight)
As stated earlier, a 3600+ stall will improve 60' (dead hook) and should put it low 12's.
Good luck.

It's amazing without bills what we could have lol. I still gotta get all this stuff installed and pay for some dyno time. It'll be cool to have numbers of my own car on the dyno though and know I'm getting the most out of what I do have

You should be happy...we have similar mods (see my sig for mods and hp) and my best 1/8th mile was 8.04 @ 87 w/1.84 60' (about 12.6) on street tires (in a full weight convertible). My stall is only a 2800. I have two buddies that are bolt-on only and run 11.4x with 3600 converter. Granted our track in FL are <60'above sealevel.
Don't get too caught up in dyno numbers, times are where its @ man.

Yeah but its always a good feeling to know exactly what your power output is so when yoou're sitting at around 360rwhp and you crush a new mustang gt 5.0 thats rated at 379rwhp. Just an example bc ive seen it done lol
