Does your Jet Hot coating look like this after 18 months?
Anyone elses coated Jet Hot's coated Hookers look like this after about 18 months on the car?
Was the first time I checked on the coatings since heads and cam was installed in Nov of 2002.
Good news is Jet-Hot said they would recoat under warranty. I'm very happy that Jet-Hot has a great warranty and will fix my headers. As soon as I can have the car down for about 3 weeks, I will take them up of their kind offer.

Looks like the MAC's held up pretty well so far.
We hardly get any snow in North Carolina, it's not like they had exposure to the elements in the winter as the car is normally garaged. I wasn't tickled about the car being down either but hey at least they will do something which is a lot more than can be said for most.

Hey, those look better than my Jet-Hot long tubes. Mine are rusting pretty badly after about 25 months. I too will be taking my LT's off in the near future and sending them off to get recoated. About how much does it cost to ship them round trip?

Here in WV they salt the hell out of the roads during the winter and it will rust the crap out of ceramic coated headers. Everytime I drive the SS in the winter I wash the underside off before putting her in the garage. So far I have only a minor amount of surface rust on the outside that easily comes off with some steel wool and elbow grease.

Forget jet hot coating. For those that live near Houston...

My MACs look worse than any of the pictures posted. The coating is peeling off in large chunks and the rust is eating away at the metal. This is after about 2 years or so.
I will have them recoated eventually unless they rust through. I wish MAC made a stainless steel midlength header. I need all the ground clearance I can get.
