$2,200 for modding 98 t/a
i just picked up a 98 t/a a few weeks ago and am looking to get a little more umph out of it. it's an automatic with: 85mm tb, 85mm intake, lid, k&n, axle back, NO TUNE.
what i had in mind was:
BBK headers and ORY
FROST tune
wideband
LNC2000
Nitrous w/ all the goods (opener, heater, window switch, purge, blowdown, gauge)
fuel pressure gauge
2 new knock sensors with harness
sub box and cd player.
now if it was your money, how would you spend it?

Your list is a pretty good start, personally I'd swap the subs and Bo for some suspension mods. I would agree in a stall but it's really not needed until you get a cam. With $2200 you could do a nice cam, and find a set of used heads to. Personally I'd do cam/head swap and stall along with supporting mods. Of course that will surpass your budget but you can save up alittle more.

i was thinking cam and heads first but then decided i will do that over the winter. i wont be driving the car this winter so i will need something to do in the down time. i do currently have a new set of 3.73's...should i go ahead and buy the install kit and throw them in there now, or wait until the cam/head install during winter?

headers and good y pipe, stall, shift kit, 373s, lcas and tune would be the first step i would do, then work on a cam swap next, nitrous is fun but its a lot funner with the right supporting mods, plus ur not going to be spraying 98% of the time so the faster na the better

Subframe connectors, Lower control arms, panhard bar, stall, exhaust, tires, tune.
Bottom line - IMHO I'd get my suspension ready before adding all that power if you do decide nitrous right off the bat.
