Default finishing mods before tune

I'm finally closing in on getting my car tuned. I'm not doing h/c or a stall this year. That's next year. I'm finishing up with tsp lts and tds, ported fast 90/90, SSRA 160 tstat, Slp lid. Put a 3.73 gear in last summer. Anything else I should do before I get it tuned I'm not thinking of?

I'm trying to get the most I can out of it when I get it tuned without doing h/c or a stall bc I'm at my budget almost already if that helps. I can't think of anything else right off hand that would really make a difference combined with my other listed mods

I've seen the stock mass air isn't really a restriction until around 460-500hp

Would it be worth upgrading to a tsp ported ls6 oil pump without doing h/c?

The reason I ask is bc I've always heard the stock oil pumps are one of the weak spots in these cars

Your best upgrade would be a stall if you didn't already have your mind against it this year. I wouldn't waste my money on tuning until I did.

Gut the cats, hand port the throttle body. UD pulley.
Man, to do the oil pupump you are right there for a cam swap. Maybe take out a small loan. I got my whole cam kit for $1500. Cam, chain, ported pump, lunatic gold valve train, 160 tstat, underdriven pulley, pushrods, around head bolts, ls7 lifters, GM gaskets. Took me 4 days to install it all.

No need to gut the cats or port tb bc all that's coming off with what I do have. A stall would be marvelous if I had the money. So would a cam

Stupid question but my car mostly sees racing on the street from a roll. How much is a stall gonna help me in that situation? If its a lot I might dig a deeper hole in my pockets haha. Ready my first post in this thread that lists what I already have, how much will it really help combined with this stuff?

The thing about the stall, it opens the door for a nice cam. You cant do a big cam on your stock converter.

The intake is over kill for your set up. You won't be using what the intake can offer. Heads and cam and that intake would be flowing!!!!! But, can't do a nice came until you do the stall.

I don't think the intake is overkill for my set up, I'm just not going to get the most I can out of it without h/c. Plus when I do get h/c I'm gonna want it anyway and its hard to get ahold of the 90s anymore so I grabbed it while I had the chance. But back to my stall question, id like to know how much its gonna help now without h/c

a good stall will help you EVERYWHERE. stock stalls suck from a roll. even with modifications.

I guess that shows how much I know haha. I figured they would help at the track or from a dead stop but not from a roll, one reason I held off on getting one and getting the fast intake instead, lead me in the direction of what most people use on these cars

So at least a 3600 is what I want from reading other threads.
