Default Under Drive Pulley worth it?

Just wondering if they're worth the cost. I need to pull mine to fix a leaking front cover, so I figured it would be the time to do it.

If so, any particular brand?

Only if you like +10% - 25% effectiveness of every mod you'll do. Lol

(So that's a big YES!)

As far as brand... check out the sponsors. I think ws6store has a couple brands, and they might have reviews also.

Will probably give you about 8rwhp, just depends if it's worth the money to you. If it's already off I would probably do it too. I'm not really a fan of most SLP stuff, but they do have a nice pulley....that's the one I run. ATI's are probably the best but a little more than I wanted to spend.

Messed with my charging. I would do the overdrive pulley on alternator too for the fix.I have seen some cars not be affected but mine did not like it.I might just have a weak alternator.

with my head/cam install that is going on, I have a powerbond 25% crank UDP that runs the AC at normal speed. Im in FL. It is definitely worth sacrificing a few hp to turn the AC compressor enough.

Just finished installing an ASP 25% UD here are the result before my test drive.

Car started and idled fine, alternator is still putting out good voltage (as measured from my Autometer gauges), car revs much faster and returns to idle a lot faster as well.

firemech21- Did you feel it was worth the money to upgrade? I have always heard mixed reviews on UD pulleys, but have considered one for my car.

If you a reason to get to the pulley then it is worth the money for sure. I've got a powerbond 25% and in 2yrs of having I've had no issue at all. My tuner said you will usually see a 6-9rwhp gain by switching to an UDP.

Honestly yes. I did get mine rather cheap though.
I just took the car out for a test drive with a friend thats rode in my car a few times. Initial acceleration seems better and the motor seem to respond to the throttle pedal much better. Motor cranks over a lot easier too.
All in all I think it was worht the cash.

I have a 10% UD pulley. If I went with a 25% what would I gain if anything?

I feel like its definitely a nice mod for the money. Typical gains I've seen from installing an underdrive pulley is between 5 and 10 rwhp.
