just got a hole box of 2005 6.0 parts today for free.... guy i know is putting a 6.0 in his musting so he needs none of the topend of the 6.0 so i got it all....my idea has been to put the 6.0 throttle body on my 2000 5.3 . is there a way to do this? i have the hole intake throttle body fuel set up ever thing off the top of a 6.0 even the wiring an a computer.

is this 5.3 to 6.0 throttle body swap a good idea?......an i do own an tune with HP Tuner

All the same to my knowledge. I'm assuming this is all truck stuff, if so the intakes and tb's are the same. If it is Ls2 ****, don't.

Just seen you have a 2000. Your throttle body is cable driven, the 05 is drive by wire. So it will not work even if it was worth it.

yes 2000 an yes drive by wire is one of the probs....


How about useing the Fuel Injector from the 6.0 in my 5.3?

I believe the injectors are the same also. Other than the fact one is cable and one is drive by wire, they are the same size. Pointless swap
