Scratch what I said about going with a FAST 92. I've got a old LS1 intake laying around somewhere you should use. It's good for a guaranteed wheelie off the line.

Make a thread asking about the OD on a NW 92, then you can figure it out. I tried looking but I could not find it.

But I would imagine 3.75 to 4 inch would work. That's a 95mm ID for throttle opening and 104mm for the 85mm MAF that has a 96mm OD.

The MAF should fit in the neck of the lid.

One of the main reasons I went with an open loop tune was because my tuner said he doesn't like tuning the 100mm MAF's and that they are really sensitive. It ended up saving me a little bit of money and I have never really felt a noticeable difference in power or driveablity. Only issue I ever had were related to the idle tables and we cleared that up pretty quickly.
I've just heard so much negativity towards SD tunes with cars that are drove a lot, especially when the weather or DA changes a decent amount.

My cars is by no means a DD... When it is running I maybe drive it 2-3 a week max. But I do drive it and like to enjoy it. I would just hate to do it and have idle issues when changes take place.

I might look into it a tad more. The large ID MAFs are a PITA from what I hear.

I know I made my post and was like HOLY CRAP

On the open loop subject during the summer I cruise in my car about twice a week usually, never really noticed much. However, I did have some idle issues in the beginning but we got it sorted out. I wouldn't suggest it to someone who drive alot where that have alot of rapidly changing weather (coastal areas) or in the foot hills where they experience alot of elevation changes.

Well I wouldn't try in TN.. Tomorrow the low is in the mid 60s, highs over 100. LOL Rain for three days, drought for two months, rain for 3 hours, 104 degrees, snow. LOL

In TN if you don't like the weather, give it a few hours.

However, I am moving to Tampa at the first of the year... It stays pretty consistent down there so I might give it a shot. I can always go back if I need to.

With the new MAF and the adapter harness you would NOT want an IAT hole drilled in your new FTP lid, it should be incorporated into your MAF.

The IAT is measured through the MAF. That's why it's 5 pin vs 3 there are a few thing incorporated into the later MAF sensors compared to the ones our cars were equipped with stock.

Oh I see. I was thinking that the IAT had to be drilled into a new location. Thank you for clearing this up.

I used this hose...http://intakehoses.com/Merchant2/mer...gory_Code=SAE0 .a 4" x 4" will fit over a 92TB and will tighten up on a GM 90mm MAF. The 22* angle helps with fitment but still needs a little trimming to be perfect. It's a lot cheaper than the SLP one too.

Thank you for your post. So it would probably be to loose around a gm 85mm maf?
