Any reason I shouldn't buy TSP headers vs. ARH or Kooks
I have been reading about headers on here for hours and tried numerous searches and have not found the answer...
I am looking to do stainless headers and with TSP stainless headers being about 1/2 the price of ARH and Kooks, is there any reason I should not get them?
I am thinking I will go "race" or no emissions with whatever brand I choose and I am going to run whatever brands matching Y (no cats) to a Magnaflow cat back.
It looks like with the TSP's I can do the cat back also and have change left over so why wouldn't I?

The tsp headers are hard to beat for the price. I chose arh for mine because I saw guys on here had an easier time installing them. The tsp headers will work great, they just might take a little more work and patience to install though. I've seen mixed results on the installs, like everything else for our cars. If you want to put the extra cash into other parts, tsp would be the way to go.

Only reason I can think of is if you have money to burn and like bragging rights of running expensive headers.
After reading up on TSP headers a few months ago, the install looks to be the same as other headers (you should do motor mounts at the same time anyway), and even if it IS a little more difficult, you're saving 4 or 5 hundred bucks for the trouble.

I have the 1 7/8 on my 2001 TA and I think they look awesome and the install wasn't bad at all. Great quality header. For the price I don't think you can beat them.

Got me interested in them for my g-body swap I started back in 02'. cost me more than that for S&P mid length swap headers with ceramic coating that didn't hold out very long. Have tig & portaband saw, can mod if needed.
Since the subject was started on these stainless headers, Anyone have any luck or suggestions on keeping them polished such as preheating & repolishing or maybe the old bikers trick of packing grease in the inlets before running for thermal coating, which may require running old oxy sensors till they bake.

I have the TSP's and they look great and were about average as far as difficulty installing them. Nothing hard or complex about it. They showed great improvements on the butt dyno as well.

My install with tsp 1 7/8 was painless. I had to grind a little off the k member so they didn't hit cause I'm Still running stock motormounts. Took less then a day. And they're awesome.
