my advice:

buy legit o2 extensions. i've used them on probably 10 dif header installs and never had an issue; rain, snow, sleet, sun whatever.

replace the plugs and wires.

install the poly motor mounts. i just did this. there is hardly any extra vibration. so little, in fact, that after a month of driving the car you don't even notice it. very little additional vibration. i am using the factory trans mount, it has 110k miles on it at this point.

installing the poly motor mounts did wonders for my shifting. either the factory motor mounts were worn out, or i needed some help..either way, it made the wot shifts much easier. i'm assuming bc the engine is not moving around as much when getting on/off the throttle.

reuse your factory exhaust gaskets. they are multi-layer steel gaskets. basically they will be in excellent shape or they'll be totally fucked, there is very little middle ground for their condition. i've used and reused factory gaskets many times. imho there is no need to replace them unless they get crushed or something while off the car. new ones are shiny, that'll be the only dif between those and your factory ones.

Thanks for chiming in. I shall go with the poly's, even though my buddy installing them tells me "If poly were so good, they would use them from the factory". Plus, I did a coin toss, and it landed on Poly. You can't go against that

Aside from Granatelli's, at twice the price mind you, they also ohm the lowest.

I believe it's Nasty Performance that has a good deal on plugs with wires.

Are these what you mentioned?

Lol your friend is nuts fellow Miami fan. I could say, if headers were so good, they would be in your Formula from the factory.

Ok, everything is ordered.

Since I will be deleting my AIR system, do I need a block off plate or could I just use an expansion plug of some sort?

All TSP headers should be Race style meaning no fittings for EGR/AIR so no you won't need AIR delete plug.

Ah, thank you.

I went for the poly MM and a oem rubber ac delco tranny. I think it'll be a good balance.

Yep should be good to go! Be patient with the headers/motor mounts if you're installing them yourself, if it's the first time and you don't have a lift, devote a day to it...a long day. And if you use an engine hoist be careful with how you lift the motor, when I did mine I shifted the engine about 5 degrees off center and the motor mounts wouldn't bolt up all the way so I had to take them out and fix it lol

Thanks, I won't be installing these myself. A good friend of mine has a shop I'm just going to drop it off and pick it up a week later or so-- so he can work on it at his own pace (Since I know these motor mounts are such a PITA).

Thanks for all the help guys, hopefully I will chime in after a few weeks.

If I was you I'd pull the PCM once you drop it off and send it to Frost for a good mail order tune. That way it's back in your possession and installed for the first fire up.

So far my motor and tranny mounts have arrived. Tomorrow all my stuff from TSP arrives. Unfortunately, my spark plugs and wires have not shipped....vendor has not replied to my e-mails.

Should drop car off Tuesday. If my wires/plugs are not here by then, just going to buy them at Autozone and just return what I ordered that is pending-- no biggie.

Just chiming back in, Got my Prothane motor mounts and OEM Trans mount installed and verdict is... Wow.. Night and day difference in the car. Very very minimal vibration increase and almost not noticeable. Acceleration is SOOOO much smoother and not nearly as jerky.
Honestly one of the best mods iv'e installed I think, it makes a huge difference. Hope this helps!

Just got the car back.

Sounds great, absolutely great. Power up top is definitely noticeable.

Poly mounts, absolutely no difference in vibrations. Zero.

Highly recommend TSP.
