My AC is comepletly deleted, no need for that belt. I did get the reccomended shorter belt from TSP along with a new bolt. I havnt messed with it much. I have been installing my S60 over the past two evenings, focus has been on that. I have an appt to go to my tuner and have him adjust the idle up some. Since that will be free, I want to try that first before spending any money on more alternators and pullies lol

Absolutley not true. If your alternator is doing its job, the car will have power and continue running

How does that work?

My understanding of the charging system is that the alternator charges the battery, and the battery is what provides power for the electrical systems. If you disconnect the battery, the alternator can still do it's job and charge the battery, but the electrical systems won't get power since the connection to the battery has been removed.

Its an old test people would do on older cars. With late model cars the alt. cant supply the power these cars need alone.

Found the problem, turned out to be a weak alternator. As far as I know it was the original alternator so it was time for it to go I suppose. The new one runs everything just fine, its a duralast reman stock replacement, nothing extra or fancy. So far so good, no charging issues.

If you listen closely, near the end of the video you can hear the fans kick on and the volt gauge drops when the need for more power hits then goes right back to where it was sitting, all alternator
