16mm hole on driver's side of block for temp readings?
16mm hole on driver's side of block for temp readings? Has anyone used the 16mm hole on the drivers side of the block near the front of the engine for a temperature sender for a temperature gauge? I assume it is like the hole at the passenger's rear side of the block.
I've got a VDO sender that won't adapt to the 12mm head hole, and I really don't want it behind the starter, when this hole is much more accessible.
Anyone has done a comparison of temperature readings with different locations? I really don't know the coolant flow pattern in the block, but this is closer to where the engine computer reads.
