Default FLP vs. Jet-Hot LT headers??

These are the two sets of headers I'm looking at for a 2000 T/A WS6. I'd just like to hear some opinions and experiences with these products to try and make a decision. It looks like on LMP's website they offer both companies as a kit (headers, cats, y-pipe) so in that respect they're equal. The FLP's are a few hundred bucks more so basically I'm trying to figure out what's the better value.

I do need cats on the car and there's currently a loud mouth on it. Advice will be appreciated. Thanks.

If you want to be quiet, get the FLP's for the cats they come with. The only draw back to those headers is that the collectors suck, and the flanges that bolt up to the heads are a little thin. The Hookers are a better price and have nicer collectors, but the y-pipe sucks. You really are left with the choice of what you want to spend again. Its easier to have a custom y-pipe made, and have better flow because of the better collectors on the Hookers than it is to have crappy collectors and weak flanges on the FLP's.

Well I agree with BAD BLU. Thee Flp's are pretty quiet and leaks are almost never herd of. The Jet Hots (Hooker knock offs) are a better performing very marginal though if anything, but you may have to work on the Y to get it to 100% not leak. The only difference in Jet Hots and Hookers is the gauge steel used Hooker is 18 gauge/w 5/16"flangeand Jet Hot uses 16 gauge/w 3/8" flanges FYI. So If you do a custom Y with the Jet Hots I think you would be better. The cats that come with the Jet hots are not going to Pass emissions of any kind. Just my opinion and everyone has one of those so it is your choice.

Apparently, no matter what you buy, there sure are people who have found something bad about all of them. I was going to buy hookers, but decided on Jet hots, which I ordered from Trevor @ Texas Speed, who was fantastic and hooked me up BTW. Thanks Trevor. I've heard great things about the Jethots, quality, power, fit, all of which I want. The FLP's are great as well, just more money. I didn't buy a y pipe due to $ right now, so maybe I'll look in to a custom made or a Hooker. Good luck on whatever you decide, I don't think you'll go wrong either way.

Did I read that right? FLP's have a thin flange? That's BS! The collectors on the FLP's are just fine too. The Hookers have the 02 bungs on the outside instead of the inside and are of thinner steel if I remember right. FLP's are a great header. I have no issues with the FLP's and they went in about as easy as a header could be expected. Take a look at my link in my sig for pics of the complete system and install pics.

As for the last part of your post, I have a GMMG and could not stand the sound with out cats. Very raspy. With the Loud Mouth I can imagine yours would be even worse. But then again you might like it also. The FLP's can change out in about 30 minutes. That's how long it took me to put the cats in.

I just got my JetHots installed today, w/o cats. LOts of rasp with the flowmaster 80's, SES light just came on, and the driver side bangs when accelerating hard. Other than that, they are awesome, and look badass.
I always thought Flows sounded good on the car. If some other system sounds way better, then I'm game.
