2007–present GMC Yukon
2007–present GMC Yukon XL 1/2 ton
2008–present Hummer H3 Alpha
2009–present Chevrolet Colorado/GMC Canyon

So, these are the vehicles that have the TBSS styled manifold that we are able to Radically Port.
That's what I thought they are the same. Its been reported on other forums that they are similar ,but different. The GM part # 12580420 can be cross referenced. Thanks for posting this info up, I did not realize it covered so many models. IMO this a very good intake in stock form and has to flow great after your port work. Keep up the good work.

Holy flexing batman! Now you see why the ribbing in the manifold is for strength and not a restriction...I def wouldn't want my intake doing that, could you imagine the intake cracking sending pieces down in the motor! Not a nice!

We don't have a dyno in our shop. However, we do report gains based on what customers have reported back. These are better anyhow because they are 3rd party, non-biased, results.

On the radical ported TBSS manifold, customers report about a 10-15 rwhp gain. The 4.8L engines can expect closer to 10 rwhp gain whereas the 6.0L TBSS engines around 15 rwhp gain. Engines that have other mods like cam and head work that demand more airflow can see higher gains.

The top photo is an L92 intake from a 2011 Escalade before porting. Below that is what the intake plenum looks like inside after porting.

Would this also inclide the 07 classic 5.3 engine having the tbss style intake?

2007 was a transition year. Later 2007's had the tbss style intake. If your throttle body is attached to the manifold with 4 bolts, it's the tbss style. If it is 2 bolts on the bottom and just one bolt at the center on top, then it is not the TBSS style.

This all looks very nice. How does your ported TBSS manifold compare to the FAST LSXrt intake manifold?

The FAST LSXrt has a greater gain in rwhp and rwtq, however it also has a higher cost.

On the stock 6.0L engine, the FAST LSXrt generally gains about 25 rwhp over the stock unported TBSS manifold at a cost of about $1,000. This is $40 per horsepower gained.

The Radical Ported TBSS manifold generally gains about 15 rwhp at a cost of $425. This is $28 per horsepower gained.

So, someone looking for maximum gain should look at the FAST LSXrt. However, for those who are more budget minded, the Radical Ported TBSS gives the biggest bang for the buck.
