Default Best cats for emissions

I have to pass a idle emissions test.
What brand cat is the best for doing what a cat is supposed to do?
i would assume a hi-flow would not be the one I'm looking for but I don't know.
Are aftermarket better than oem?

Aftermarket cats are not as good as oem cats. Generally oem is a 3 way catalyst and aftermarket is 2 way.

Any OEM cats will do, most if not all aftermarket ones will not pass an actual sniffer test.

Does the aftermarket publicize their build specs anywhere?

I'd love to see an unbiased report of the OEMs & aftermarket folks.

this is not true, me and my brother used to pass smog all the time in cali with magnaflow high flows and strange high flows.

OEM cats will always out perform in the clean department, but highflows will win in the performance sector.

I've always thought that magnaflow were the best cats you can buy.

As long as you get the correct converter for your vehicle our parts will allow you to pass emissions. Depending on your location and make, model and year we may have several options for you to choose from parts with heavier loads of precious metals (like OEM), direct fits or bolt on replacements. All of our converters are 3 way cats as well and all of them are high flow as well allowing for greater flow rates up to and around 10-40%. In regards to if our aftermarket parts are better than oem, they will do the same job and save you money. If you are looking at airflow our parts are better.
